Account Deletion & Data Purge

1. Overview

At DaleyDai.com, we respect your right to control your personal data. In strict compliance with the **Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018)** and **Individual Privacy Regulation, 2077** of Nepal, you can request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

This page details the options and steps available to delete your account, what happens to your data after requesting deletion, and the circumstances under which deletion may be temporarily suspended under Nepalese law.

2. Account Deletion Steps

You can initiate account deletion through either the mobile application or by submitting a verified request via this website.

Option A: Deletion via the Mobile Application (Recommended)

This is the fastest and most secure method as it uses your active authentication session:

1. Open the DaleyDai App on your mobile device.
2. Ensure you are logged in to the account you wish to delete.
3. Go to the Profile Settings or tap your profile avatar.
4. Tap on Account Actions, then select Delete Account.
5. Confirm the prompt. Your account will instantly be logged out, placed in Pending Deletion status, and scheduled for purging.

Option B: Requesting Deletion via Web Support

If you no longer have the app installed or cannot access your account, you can request deletion by completing the request form in Section 6 of this page or by emailing our data protection officer directly at contact@mobotechnology.com. Please provide your registered mobile number and full name. Our team will verify your ownership of the account before scheduling it for deletion.

3. The 30-Day Grace & Restoration Period

To protect our users against accidental deletions or unauthorized account breaches, we enforce a **30-day grace period** from the moment the deletion request is submitted:

• Listing Suppression: During these 30 days, your status is changed to `pendingDeletion`. All of your property listings and active negotiation chats are instantly hidden from search results and other users.
• Restoring Your Account: If you change your mind, you can cancel the deletion and fully restore your account to `active` status. Simply open the DaleyDai mobile app, log in, and tap the Restore Account button presented on the screen.
• Final Expiry: If you do not log in and cancel the deletion within the 30-day grace period, our system will automatically perform a permanent, irreversible purge on the 31st day.

4. Purge Scope & Data

When the 30-day grace period expires, our server-side cloud sweeper executes an automated cascade deletion that wipes the following data permanently:

• Firebase Authentication Credentials: Your login credentials, security tokens, and phone numbers are purged from our secure authentication server.
• Personal Profiles & KYC Documents: Your full name, profile picture, and verified identity documents (Citizenship Certificate, National ID Card) are completely destroyed.
• Land Ownership Data (Lalpurja): Uploaded Land Ownership Certificates and associated tax clearings are permanently wiped from our secure storage buckets.
• Property Listings: All listings created under your account, including descriptions, rates, and listing photos, are deleted.
• Bargain & Chat Logs: Active room/flat negotiations, direct tenant-landlord chats, and AI concierge conversation records are cleared.

5. Legal Holds & Disputes

In accordance with Chapter 3 of the **Individual Privacy Act, 2075**, and financial regulations governed by Nepal Rastra Bank, account deletion requests may be delayed or put on hold under the following conditions:

• Active Baina (Earnest Money) Holdings: If you have an active negotiation with a pending Baina holding escrow, or if you are involved in a payout dispute that has not been settled, your account cannot be deleted. The deletion will be paused until the transaction is closed or refunded.
• Fraud Investigation & Legal Orders: If the account has been flagged for listing fraud, rental scams, or is subject to a legal investigation request by the Nepal Police or Kathmandu District Court under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2063, data will be retained as required by law.
• Financial Record Audits: Transaction metadata (e.g. digital transaction IDs from eSewa/Khalti, payout settlements) are retained in our secure archives for tax and auditing purposes as mandated by the Government of Nepal.
